Jay, a Chartered Financial Analyst, has been an investment professional for more than 40 years. He founded Classic Capital in 1989. While a securities analyst at Merrill Lynch, Jay was honored to be named to Institutional Investor Magazine’s All-America Research Team, and has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal. He is a member of the CFA Institute. Jay holds a BA with Honors in Economics from Brooklyn College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Andrew S. Leonard, MBA
Principal
Andrew joined Classic Capital in 2007. Prior to that he was a senior analyst at Analysis Group, Inc., an economic and financial consulting firm. Andrew has a BA in Economics from Emory University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Nicole M. Gould, MBA, CFP®
Vice President, Financial Advisor
Nicole joined Classic Capital in 2007. Prior to pursuing her interest in financial planning, Nicole worked in pharmaceutical marketing, with her last position being the Director of Marketing for QSI Incorporated, a health care communications firm. Nicole is a member of the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, has a BA, magna cum laude, in Economics and Classics from Tufts University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Kevin C. Root, MBA
Vice President, Financial Advisor
Kevin joined Classic Capital in 2010. Before joining Classic, Kevin was a Vice President at Streambank LLC, an asset advisory firm. Prior to Streambank, Kevin worked in the Investment Banking Division of Lehman Brothers/Barclays Capital PLC. Kevin has a BA in both Economics and Human Biology from Stanford University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Maury M. Viola
Administrative Manager
Maury joined Classic Capital in 1993. After performing ballet onstage for many years, Maury traveled to New York to teach in the city’s renowned dance schools. Turning her focus to office administration, she managed five field offices in the Tri-State area for DMJM Architects & Engineers. She gained knowledge in the field of investment management while working for Gaiacorp U.S. Limited, before joining Classic Capital. Maury holds a BA from the University of Utah, cum laude.
