The majority of our clients’ investments are “custodied” at Fidelity Investments, meaning that our clients open accounts at Fidelity and grant us access to manage those accounts. Clients send their money to Fidelity, not to Classic Capital, and their assets will always remain in accounts in their own name – Classic Capital does not accept physical custody of client funds. Clients can view their Fidelity accounts online at any time to check investment balances and positions and to view recent statements or transactions.
We selected Fidelity as our custodian because we believe it is the safest place for our clients’ money, as well as our own. Fidelity is privately-held and has SIPC insurance to cover client assets. Moreover, there are no fees associated with opening an account at Fidelity and no annual fees to maintain an account.
